How do I get to this page?

  1. Log in to Renaissance Place.
  2. On the Home page, select Star Early Literacy (or Early Literacy Assessments if you are using the Star 360 Suite).

  3. Select Preferences.
  4. On the Preferences page, select Edit at the end of the Extended Question Time Limit row.

Who can do this with default capabilities?

  • District Level Administrators: any student in the district

Use extended time limits for students with special needs who need more time to read or answer the test questions.

These are the standard and extended time limits:

Question Type Standard Time Extended Time
Hands-On Exercise Questions 35 seconds each (0m 35s) 35 seconds each (0m 35s)*
Practice Questions 60 seconds each (1m 0s) 180 seconds each (3m 0s)
Actual Test Questions 90 seconds each (1m 30s) 270 seconds each (4m 30s)

* Extended time limits do not apply to hands-on exercise questions.
