User Names and Passwords

When a student, teacher, staff, or administrator is added to the Renaissance software, the record for that person includes a user name and password. Whoever creates the record must provide the user name and password to each person using Renaissance Place.

The first time a person logs in to Renaissance software, he or she must use the assigned user name and password. For more information, see Passwords.

Notes:

  • User names and passwords are not case-sensitive. However, if the CAPS LOCK key is engaged, people may experience problems logging in (symbols may be substituted for numbers).
  • If you have questions about user names and passwords, contact your school administrator or your district administrator.
  • For Renaissance Home Connect, parents use their child's user name and password.

Student User Names, Passwords, and PINs

You can see and print a list of student user names, passwords, and PINs. On the Home page, select Users. Select View Students; then, select the Passwords tab.

Teachers, Staff, and Administrator User Names and Passwords

For security reasons, you cannot view or print a list or report of teacher, staff, or administrator user names and passwords. For more about these passwords, see Passwords.

Monitor Password

A monitor password may be required when a student stops a test or a mandatory practice. The Monitor Password Preference determines if the monitor password is used and what the monitor password is. By default, the monitor password is required.

Locked Accounts

Accounts become locked when a user enters a wrong password too many times. They are unlocked automatically after a certain period of time (5 minute for students).
