Renaissance Responder Menu

Renaissance Responders and NEO 2 will no longer be supported after future software updates.

When you first turn the Responder on, and whenever you press Menu, you will go to the main menu for the Responder.

Navigating the Menu

  • To move through the menu items, use the up and down arrow keys.
  • If you have selected a menu item and want to move back to the previous menu level, press Clear.

Menu Items

  • Join Session: MathFacts in a Flash does not use Join Session.
  • MathFacts in a Flash: Students select this to work on math facts. What you see depends on the Responder model you are using.

    Renaissance Responder model RES-1001 using firmware version 2.xx or model RESP using firmware version 4.01

    After choosing this menu item, students decide what to practice: addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division.

    Model RESP using firmware version 4.03 and above

    After choosing this menu item, students choose one of these options:

  • MathFacts History: This is seen in the menu on model RES-1001 using firmware version 2.xx and model RESP using firmware version 4.01. It allows you to view, clear, print, or send the history of offline practice on the Renaissance Responder. On model RESP using firmware version 4.03 and above, this is a selection under MathFacts in a Flash Offline. For more information, see "Using the Offline MathFacts History."
  • Homework: MathFacts in a Flash does not use Homework.
  • Notes: MathFacts in a Flash does not use Notes.
  • Calculator: MathFacts in a Flash does not use Calculator.
  • Settings: Select this to view or change settings for this Responder.
  • Synchronize: MathFacts in a Flash does not use Synchronize.
