How Responder Users Answer MathFacts in a Flash Questions

Renaissance Responders and NEO 2 will no longer be supported after future software updates.

Responder users will answer two kinds of questions when working with MathFacts in a Flash on Responder.

You will need to know the model of the Responder you are using. The model number is on the back of the unit and begins with either RESP or RES-1001.

During a practice or test, you'll see questions like the ones shown below. How you answer those questions depends on what you see.

Multiple Choice

If you see letters next to the choices, press the letter key (A, B, C, D, or E) that corresponds to the letter next to the choice you want.

For example, to choose the answer 5 in a problem like the one shown below, press B.

If you are using Renaissance Responder model RES-1001 using firmware version 2.xx or model RESP using firmware version 4.01, press Enter.

If you are model RESP using firmware version 4.03 and above, you do not need to press Enter. The program will automatically advance to the next question.

Free Response

Free Response questions are only available on Renaissance Responder model RESP using firmware version 4.03 and above.

During a practice or test, you will see questions with a blank instead of answer choices. Use the number keys to enter the answer; then, press Enter.

For example, to choose the answer 5 in a problem like the one shown below, press 5; then, press Enter.

Notes:

If your answer is a percent, you don't need to enter the % symbol, but you can if you want to by pressing E. For example, to enter 5%, press 5 E.

If your answer is a fraction, press the +/- or D to get the /. For example, to enter 3/4, press 3, then press +/- , and then press 4.
