What is a NEO 2?

Renaissance Responders and NEO 2 will no longer be supported after future software updates.

A NEO 2 is a portable device that students use to practice essential skills.

SmartApplets are programs installed on NEO 2s. Students use different SmartApplets to practice different skills. Your school determines which SmartApplets are installed on the NEO 2s.

MathFacts in a Flash uses two SmartApplets:

Other SmartApplets are used with other Renaissance Place programs.

NEO 2s can be used:

  • to communicate with MathFacts in a Flash RP (via a Renaissance Receiver)
  • independently (not actively connected to MathFacts in a Flash RP)
  • Students can use NEO 2s outside of the classroom/range of a Renaissance Receiver.

Students use NEO 2s to both practice their math facts and to master levels.

The MathFacts in a Flash RP SmartApplet is available in both English and Spanish.

The MathFacts in a Flash (offline) SmartApplet is English only.
