Types of Work Students Can Do with NEO 2s
Renaissance Responders and NEO 2 will no longer be supported after future software updates.
When using NEO 2s, students can do two types of work:
- Online work, using the MathFacts in a Flash RP SmartApplet: This student work is automatically sent from NEO 2 to MathFacts in a Flash RP and is included in the Assignment Book and reports. To work online, students use the MathFacts in a Flash RP SmartApplet. When students use this SmartApplet, they are actively connected to MathFacts in a Flash RP. This SmartApplet is used for testing (to master levels) and practice (practice problems and tests).
- Offline work, using the MathFacts in a Flash (Offline) SmartApplet: This student work is not automatically sent from NEO 2 to MathFacts in a Flash RP; it is simply practice. To work offline, students use the MathFacts in a Flash (Offline) SmartApplet on NEO 2. When students use this SmartApplet, they are not actively connected to MathFacts in a Flash RP. This SmartApplet is used only for practice (practice problems and practice tests). The work history can be sent from the NEO 2 to MathFacts in a Flash, and offline practice history can be included in the Class Progress and Student Record Reports.
