Weekend Restrictions Preference

Using the Date and Time Restrictions preference, you can prevent students from taking quizzes on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). You can allow your quiz monitors to override weekend quizzing restrictions by using the Monitor Override Preference.

To view or change the Weekend Restrictions preference setting, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Preferences page.

   On the Home page, if you see Accelerated Reader, click it, then click Preferences.

   If you have the Accelerated Reader 360 Suite, select Independent Reading, then Preferences.

2. Click Date and Time Restrictions in the School Preferences section of the Preferences page.



3. If necessary, choose a school from the School drop-down list on the View Date and Time Restriction Preferences page. You can then see the current setting of the Weekend Restrictions preference for the school on this page.

If you are a school administrator or district administrator, you will also have an Edit Date and Time Restrictions link at the top of the page. If you want to change the Weekend Restrictions preference, select the link.

You can then change the Weekend Restrictions preference setting for the selected school. If you want to prevent students from quizzing on Saturdays and Sundays, check the Weekend Restrictions Enabled box.

If you change this setting or other settings on the page, click Save to save your changes or Cancel to leave the page without saving.
