If you do not have access to any Accelerated Reader classes at your school, the program will show you the default settings for this preference.
On the Home page, if you see Accelerated Reader, click it, then click Preferences.
If you have the Accelerated Reader 360 Suite, select Independent Reading, then Preferences.
Click Quiz Setup in the Classroom Preferences section on the Preferences page.
If necessary, choose the school and class you want to view from the drop-down lists on the View Quiz Setup Preferences page.
The View Quiz Setup Preferences page shows which types of quizzes the students in this class can take.
The preference also includes restrictions for the class based on book level and interest level. Students will only be able to find and take quizzes on books in the specified book level range or with the specified interest levels. Book level and interest level restrictions set in this preference cannot be overridden by the quiz monitor because the student cannot find quizzes with book levels or interest levels that you've chosen not to allow.
You can also restrict book levels and interest levels for individual students using the Book Levels preference and Interest Levels preference under the Individual Student Preferences. Those restrictions can be overridden by the monitor password because students are allowed to find the books; they can take the quizzes if the quiz monitor enters the password.
If there are differences in the class and student restrictions, the more limited restrictions are used.
When you've finished, use one of the links on the left side of the page to return to the Preferences page or to go directly to one of the other preference pages.
