Show Total Points Preference
This preference is found under the School Student Quizzing preferences.
This preference applies to NEO 2 after students take a Reading Practice Quiz, where the total points earned will only show if the student has taken more than one quiz in the current marking period. (This preference does not apply to AR, where the total points will always show for the current marking period.) To edit this preference, check the box to allow students using NEO 2s to see the points they've earned. If those students are allowed to see their points, they will see the total points they earned as part of the scoring summary after the quiz.
To view or change the Show Total Points preference setting, follow these steps:

On the Home page, if you see Accelerated Reader, click it, then click Preferences.
If you have the Accelerated Reader 360 Suite, select Independent Reading, then Preferences.

Click Student Quizzing in the School Preferences section of the Preferences page.

If necessary, choose a school from the School drop-down list on the View School Student Quizzing Preferences page. If you scroll down toward the bottom of the page, you can see the current setting of the Show Total Points preference for the school.
If you are a school administrator or district administrator, you will also have an Edit Student Quizzing link at the top of the page. If you want to change the Show Total Points preference, select the link.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you can then change the Show Total Points preference setting for the selected school. If the box is checked, students who are using NEO 2 to take quizzes at the school will be shown the total points they have earned after they finish a Reading Practice quiz. If you change this setting or other settings on the page, click Save to save your changes or Cancel to leave the page without saving.
