Accelerated Reader Monitor Password

The Accelerated Reader monitor password is used in the following circumstances:

• You can require it to be entered by the teacher or quiz monitor before and after quizzes. This is set in Monitor Password Required preference(s).
• You can allow the monitor password to be used by the teacher or quiz monitor to override quiz restrictions or date and time restrictions. (This is set in the Monitor Override preference.)
• The monitor password is required to stop a student quiz.

The Accelerated Reader monitor password is set in the Monitor Password preference in the School Student Quizzing preferences. To see it, follow these steps:

1. On the Home page, if you see Accelerated Reader, click it, then click Preferences.

If you have the Accelerated Reader 360 Suite, select Independent Reading, then Preferences.

2. Click Student Quizzing in the School Preferences section on the Preferences page.



3. If necessary, choose the school you want to view from the drop-down list on the View School Student Quizzing Preferences page.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page; the current monitor password is in the last preference listed.

If you require a monitor password in certain instances and/or you allow your quiz monitors to override blocks and restrictions on quizzing, you should use the Monitor Password preference to set the password that you want your quiz monitors to use.
