Marking Periods

There are two times that you assign marking periods to your classes:

• When you add classes to your database in Renaissance Place, you choose a marking period for each class to show the duration of the class.
• When you set Reading Practice goals for the students in your classes, you will use the Reading Practice Goals Record Book to assign one or more marking periods to the class and set goals for those marking periods. The program tracks the progress of your students toward those goals in each marking period for which you've set goals.

Since Reading Practice goals are tied to marking periods, you must define marking periods for your school in Renaissance Place. Then, select marking periods to use for goals for your class in the Reading Practice Goals Record Book. After you select the marking periods, you can set goals.
