Editing a Student's Achieved Reading Practice Certification

When you edit an achieved reader certification record, you can change when the student began work on the certification and when the student achieved it, but you cannot change the reader certification level.

Who can do this with standard capabilities?

District Administrators, School Administrators, Teachers

  1. On the Home page, if you see Accelerated Reader, click it, then click Record Books and Goals.

    If you have the Accelerated Reader 360 Suite, select Independent Reading, then Record Books and Goals.

    If necessary, choose the school and class from the drop-down lists. Choose My Classes instead of a school if you want only the Accelerated Reader RP classes you are assigned to as a teacher to be in the class list, regardless of the school.

  2. Click Reading Practice Certifications in the list of Class Record Books.
  3. Click the name of the student whose record you want to change on the View Reading Practice Certifications Record Book page.
  4. The View Student Reading Practice Certification Records page shows you which certifications the student has already achieved as well as the student's current certification goal (if any). If the list of achieved certifications is long, it is split into multiple pages; click Next >> or << Previous to move through it.
  5. Click Edit in the row for the achieved certification you want to change.

  6. On the Edit Student Reading Practice Achieved Certification page, you can edit the date the student started to work toward the certification and the date the student achieved it. To edit one of these dates, type the correct date or click the calendar button to choose a date.
  7. Click Save when you're finished.
