Update Student Records

Who can do this with standard capabilities?

If you have changed the current book level type setting from the default (ATOS), you may want to update historical student records to reflect the Lexile® Measure book level values. Updating student records will change the book level values that are shown in the Record Books and Goals pages and on certain reports. Student records will be updated for the active school year.

  1. On the Home page, if you see Accelerated Reader, click it, then click Manage Books and Quizzes.
  2. If you have Accelerated Reader 360, select Independent Reading, then Manage Books and Quizzes.

  3. Click Book Level Settings under Actions on the left side of the Manage Books and Quizzes page. Note that the Book Level Settings page shows you what level is currently being used in the program.
  4. If you have access to more than one school, use the School drop-down list to choose the one that needs the student records updated.
  5. Click Update Student Records on the Book Level Settings page.
  6. Click Update to apply the new book level values to student records for this school year. You will be notified when the student records have been updated.
