Changing the TOPS Report and Online Review Preference

Follow the steps below to change the TOPS Report and Online Review preference for a class. You can change this preference for one class at a time so that you can choose different options for different classes.

This preference helps you choose whether to include certain information on your students' TOPS Reports for paper assignments and in the online problem review after a student completes an online assignment.

Who can do this with default capabilities?

District Administrators, School Administrators, Teachers

District and school staff cannot change the settings.

  1. Select the green Accelerated Math tile (shown below) on the Home page; then, select Preferences.

    If you have access to more than one school, use the School drop-down list above the list of class preferences to choose a school. If you have more than one class, click the Class drop-down list and select a class.

  2. Click TOPS Report and Online Review in the list of classroom preferences.
  3. On the preference page, check the box for each option that you want to enable. (To go back to the default settings, click Default.)
  4. Include Correct Answer: If this box is checked, TOPS Reports, online review, and the assignment summaries that students can print will include correct answers to the problems the student missed.

    Learning Card Display: If you check this box, Learning Card references will be printed on your practice, exercise, test, or diagnostic test TOPS Reports so that you can refer your student to the appropriate learning card for practice. (Learning cards are no longer available from Renaissance Learning; if you do not have Learning Cards, you can use the worked examples in the software instead.)

    Include Summary: If this box is checked, the student's overall results for the current marking period and school year will appear at the bottom of TOPS Reports for paper assignments.

    Include Parent Signature: If this box is checked, standard TOPS Reports (not extended response) and the assignment summaries that students can print will include a blank for the parent's or guardian's signature.

  5. To save your changes, click Save.
