Scoring Extended Response Assignments
Follow the steps below to score Extended Response assignments that have been generated for your students.
Who can do this with default capabilities?
District Administrators, School Administrators, Teachers
Select the green Accelerated Math tile (shown below) on the Home page; then, select Extended Response.
The Extended Response page lists the students who are in one class. The class name is shown above the list of students. If you have access to more than one Accelerated Math school, use the School drop-down list to choose the school for which you want to score class extended response assignments. If you have more than one class, and you want to select a different class, click the Class drop-down list and select the class name.
To score an assignment using the form number, click Score in the list on the left side of the Extended Response page. On the Score Assignment page, type the student's form number in the blank. (The form number is printed on the assignment.) Then, click Score.
To score one student's assignment without using the form number, click the student's name on the Extended Response page. On the Student Detail page, you will see a list of outstanding (unscored) assignments. Click Score in the row for the assignment that you want to score.
On the Score Assignment page, click in the blanks and enter the number of points that you want to award the student for each category. For guidance, consult the answer key that you generated with the assignment. If you did not generate the answer key, repeat the steps for generating the Extended Response assignment and check the answer key only for the objective.
If you scored the assignment using the form number, you will go back to the Score Assignment page with the form number blank so that you can enter a form number for another assignment. To score another assignment, enter the form number and click Score. If you have finished scoring, click Done.
TOPS Reports will be generated for the students whose assignments were scored.
