Changing a Receiver Network Name

Renaissance Responders and NEO 2 will no longer be supported after future software updates.

If your school has more than one Renaissance Receiver, give each Receiver Network a unique name so that students can be sure they're choosing the right one when they work on Accelerated Math assignments using Renaissance Responders or NEO 2. (The Network is the computer/Receiver combination.) Follow these steps at each computer that has a Receiver attached:

  1. Start the Renaissance Wireless Server Utility:
  2. Windows computers: Click Start All Programs Renaissance Wireless Server Renaissance Wireless Server Utility. (On Windows 8 computers, look in the list of all applications.) Then, click Start if necessary to start the server.

Macintosh computers: In your computer's Applications folder, open the Renaissance Wireless Server folder. Then, double-click Renaissance Wireless Server Utility.

  3. Type 1234 and click OK to log in. (This is the default Administrator PIN. If you have changed the PIN, enter your new PIN.)
  4. Click the Server Settings tab.
  5. Enter a unique name in the Network Name field.
  6. Click Update Network Settings.
  7. Click OK when the program finishes updating the settings.
