Changing the Order of Extended Response Objectives
Follow the steps below to change the order of objectives in a class Extended Response objective list. Please keep in mind that your changes will affect all classes that are using the list.
Who can do this with default capabilities?
District Administrators, District Staff, School Administrators, School Staff, Teachers
You cannot change the order of objectives in the library lists that were automatically created for each extended response library, but you can change the order of objectives in lists that you own. School administrators can also change lists owned by others within their school, and district administrators can change lists owned by anyone in the district.
Select the green Accelerated Math tile (shown below) on the Home page; then, select Extended Response.
The Extended Response page lists the students who are in one class. The class name is shown above the list of students. If you have access to more than one Accelerated Math school, use the School drop-down list to choose the school for which you want to view class extended response assignments. If you have more than one class, and you want to select a different class, click the Class drop-down list and select the class name.
Select the green Accelerated Math tile (shown below) on the Home page; then, select Libraries.
The Libraries page will list the libraries that are available for one school. If you have access to more than one school, and you want to choose a different school, click the School drop-down list and select the other school.
Click Manage Objectives on the left side of the page. The Manage Objectives page will appear next.
If you came from the Libraries page, click the Objective List drop-down menu and choose the list that you want to change.
Click Reorder on the Manage Objectives page. (If this link is not available, you may not have permission to change the list, or it may be one of the standard lists that were automatically created for each library.)
On the next page, you can choose to reorder objectives by library or individually (by objective) or to restore the original order of the objectives. Click one of the options.
When you restore the default order, the program will put the objectives within each library in the order in which they appear in the library itself. (You can see this order by viewing the Scope and Sequence for the library.) If you have objectives from more than one library, the program will also group the objectives from each library together and put them in library order. (For example, grade 2 objectives would appear before grade 3 objectives.)
The program will ask if you are sure that you want to do this. Click OK in this message.
The next page will list the libraries that are the source of the Extended Response objectives in this list. The page will show you how many objectives are included from each library. Click in the blank in the left column for each library and type in the order number. For example, if you are using both Grade 3 and Grade 4 objectives, and you want the Grade 3 objectives to appear first, type "1" in the New Order blank for the Grade 3 Extended Response library, and type "2" in the New Order blank for the Grade 4 Extended Response library. To save the new order, click Save.
The Reorder Objectives by Objective page will list the objectives that are in the objective list. First, check the box next to the objectives that you want to move. If you want to move the objective(s) up or down a specific number of positions, click in the blank next to the appropriate button and type the number of positions; then, click the Move Up or Move Down button. If you want to move the objective(s) to a specific position, click in the blank next to Move To and type the position number; then, click the button. When you have finished changing the objective order, click Save.
